Getting to La Ciénaga, Manabao (Pico Duarte Trailhead) is easy and straightforward. 

You have two options:

Option 1: Public Bus + Taxi (Most Affordable)

Take a Caribe Tours bus from Santo Domingo to Jarabacoa. Buses depart several times daily and the journey takes approximately 3 hours.

Upon arrival in Jarabacoa, take a taxi to La Ciénaga de Manabao, the main starting point for Pico Duarte treks. The drive from Jarabacoa to La Ciénaga takes about 45–60 minutes.
